Christmas is the season which turns all cats into furry ornament assassins. My cats have been especially devious, lately.
Yesterday, I accidentally left the medicine cabinet open, and Boba climbed in. I realized it when I saw him crouching in my bedroom, hovering protectively over a furry object. Upon closer inspection, I saw he had my makeup brush clutched in his mouth, and was hissing when I got anywhere near it.
I had to pick him up, while trying to not get jabbed by his flailing, armed claws, until he dropped it out of his mouth, and we both made a mad scramble for it. I won, or so I thought, until I saw the carnage he had already created by walking his fluffy butt inside the cabinet.
The kitties have been amused by my indoor workouts, lately. They especially love when I do yoga and they can sniff my face while I’m in some kind of crouching panda warrior pose.
I started the 30 day yoga challenge with Erin Motz, which I am about halfway through. They are awesome and each one has been interesting so far. None of them are incredibly hard – some are easier than others.
The hardest one for me was crow pose – has anyone mastered it? Any tips? I have small arms and have only been able to stay up for a second or two.
What kind of veggies do you make?

Our cat is a tiny dragon… she lives for the Christmas tree. Which in our place is a little three foot fake one on top of a table… which means it is not at all sturdy… especially with a cat in it. Now that the presents have been given out it seems that she may have just wanted to sleep under the lights but there was not room. Oh cat problems. I will take what is mine with fire and blood…. bahaha. Life with a cat for sure. These yoga challenges look awesome. I love to do yoga at home. I am working hard to give myself a better daily schedule so that I can be more and more successful at doing more yoga and other things that I should generally be doing. Hoping it works. These look fun, I will definitely keep them in mind! I love veggies. One of my favorites is grilling asparagus. You just pop the ends off, toss them with olive oil and sea salt, and then put them on a george foreman type grill for a bit. Yum. I also love love love spinach salads. We made a fall one with a cider vinaigrette, apples, cranberries and nuts. There is also an italian one that is great with a white wine vinaigrette. It has canellini beans, tomatoes and onion in it. Acorn squash is something I haven't made in a while, but it's great just cut in half and baked with oil or butter and salt and pepper. And nowwww I want to eat lunch… haha Let me know if you want any of the recipes and I will send them your way. XO -Alexandra

aw kitties. my cats love my makeup brushes so i have to hide them in a cabinet and shut the door when i get ready.
my cats sniff my face when i do yoga as well! so i lock them out because it gets annoying.
you don't eat lentils?! or grains?! man I'm not even a vegetarian and I eat the shit out of both of those. ask me anything you want to know, i seriously eat a ridiculous amount of lentils, grains and greens. spinach is the best green thing in the world because it can be added to everything, i'm not even kidding.
