32 Weeks: Bumpdates

Another week gone flying by! I’m still having a hard time believing we are this far along.

I have been feeling good and we found out this week that baby weighs somewhere around 4 lbs 3 oz right now. I have a hard time shaving my legs, but at the same time don’t feel like I’m carrying around an extra 20-odd pounds most days.

Baby has been making great Alien impressions, and I can see her flipping around like a shark in my belly.

She also managed to kick the ultrasound technician as soon as she placed the wand on her this week, so she is continuing to develop her ninja skills.

Not sure she feels too armadillo-like. She’s definitely still otter-like in movements!

Food:
We had some really great food this weekend, including an incredibly delicious lemon glazed sprinkle donut, which caused hours of her flipping around later that night. She was on a sugar high. I also had a seitan cobb wrap, which was so good and I’m going to need another one of.

Family:
My mom came to visit me this weekend! I was so excited because she’s actually never been to my apartment since I moved here (from her location in SC to where I live now in DE). I was so proud of her driving up to see me. We went to IKEA because she had never been and she found a bunch of stuff.

She also got to feel the baby, which I was especially happy about. I don’t want her to miss all the fun moments.

Fitness:
Not that much. I go on walks occasionally for as long as I can. Today was an especially crazy day at work, so I needed to get out and decompress a little and went for a short walk afterwards. It was only a mile, because my ab muscle pain seems to be here to stay most days when I walk for any length, but I’m glad I got out for a little bit.

I have lots of stuff left to do, but hopefully with Greg home soon it will be easier!

I’m linking up with Kristen and Gretch today for What’s New With You.

  1. So awesome that your momma came to see you and the babe! IKEA is such a fun experience with moms! (Actually, any shopping is fun with a mom- especially when she's probably in the mood to spoil her future grandbaby! Haha!)
In those two top pictures I can't even tell you're pregnant until I scroll down and your tummy is visible! You look so healthy and great!

I love a donut occasionally until my boyfriend told me how many calories were in one …. then… I have to keep 2nd thinking it before I grab a few. πŸ™‚

  3. Never been to IKEA!? That's one of my favorite mother // daughter dates. It's so fun to look at all the different room set ups & then grab a bite to eat, or a coffee or something in their cafe. They really have it all.

  4. Yay for shopping with moms! My mom invited me to go shopping this week which might be the first time she has ever wanted to go shopping with me. She dislikes it in general, and specifically doesn't like the same stores that my sisters and I like (she's more of a thrift store person), but I guess it's different if it's for baby stuff. πŸ˜›

  5. So cool that your mom drove up to visit. IKEA is just the best, one of my happy places for sure. Glad she got to come up to see you and the ninja armadillo baby! πŸ™‚ hehe The donut and wrap both look super good! πŸ™‚ I wish it wasn't so stinkin' hot here. My husband and I have been taking walks at work, but sometimes it's just way too hot to go. 😦 XO – Alexandra

  7. Isn't it weird how you can see the baby moving around on the surface of your stomach… Very Alien. Or it reminds me of the way a thick soup burbles around on the stove – Know what I mean? In either case, Weird. Wonderful but still weird, There is a PERSON inside you! Sometimes I look at my kids now and think, Once upon a time, You were inside me! Weird.

  8. Yay for your mom visiting!!! I bet that was so special her getting to feel the baby move!!! All of your food is looking so good! My little girl likes to kick at the ultrasound tech too! She always tries to block her with her hand or legs.
