Sometimes my baby decides to kick my butt and make me exhausted with no warning, so I have been slacking the past couple days (just on blogging, woops). I came home the past couple nights and cleaned and cooked then played games on my computer for a bit before falling into bed. I did also have to work all last week and the weekend and Monday/Tuesday, so that could be a reason as well.
But the good news is that I’m off! Yay! I’m off for at least the next week and a half.
You guys probably just came here because of the words gender reveal, so I will stop complaining about being a tired (surprise, right?) pregnant lady.
The bump is growing larger and larger, although it’s hard to tell. I can definitely tell and feel like soon it may become more bumplike.
I have been so excited since I found out the gender a couple weeks ago and had to keep it secret for a bit! I sent my family gender reveal cards, but now they’ve all arrived so I am allowed to talk about it.
The baby’s gender is no longer a mystery…
Unless she’s got some tricks up her sleeve (I asked the ultrasound tech, “How sure are you???”). I was beyond surprised, because I thought it was a boy, but we are so excited! I get happier the more I think about all the little girl stuff.
I asked the ultrasound tech not to tell me at the appointment and to give me a gender card inside an envelope instead, so that I could Skype Greg and find out at the same time. I was not nervous at all until I had the card in my hand and was walking out of the office.
I Skyped Greg as soon as I got in my car and was terrified to open the card. I let him look at it first because I could barely keep it together. When I saw the card, I was incredibly happy and crying and incoherent for a moment until I recovered. It was more exciting and overwhelming than I thought it would be.
So she is a she, instead of an it now, and she is getting into some very large animal shapes.
It feels like a little wiggly creature is thumping around in my belly. She was doing some type of acrobatics earlier today, although mostly she’s been getting very wiggly at night. Tonight things have quieted down, so perhaps she decided to sleep.
As a note, I drew our gender announcement, because I guess I have the ability to draw my family as cactuses. Weird skill which I should add to my resume. So, I’d prefer if it wasn’t reused, although if you would like your own plant-based family or otherwise, maybe I can help out.
Hope you’re having a wonderful week!
Congrats on your little girl, how exciting!
